From May 17 to 18, the "Evolving Trends in Medical Education" forum was held in Guangzhou. Hosted by Saraswati Online of India and co-hosted by Jinan University, it drew over 70 participants, including representatives from seven universities, including Jinan University and Southern University of Science and Technology, officials from the Indian Consulate in Guangzhou, and members of Nepalese Medical Licensing Examination Committee. Our university sent an 8-member delegation led by Vice President Wu Lisha, including international student management staff, faculty members, and foreign teachers.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Wu gave an overview of the university's international students. She pointed out that the internationalization of medical education is a common trend in educational development worldwide, and that participating institutions should, in light of their own realities, further explore and develop effective models for international students' medical education.
During the two-day forum, participants held in-depth discussions and analyses on medical education laws, curricula, admissions, teaching innovation, and medical licensing examinations. Representatives from our college shared their views on improving the quality of enrolled students, enhancing the quality of international student education, and strengthening the institutionalized management of international students, emphasizing the positive role of quality-oriented education and the CIIP teaching method in medical education reform.
