From June 9 to 13, Vice President Zhou Xiangyu led a delegation to Sri Lanka and Malaysia for the 2026 "Charming Sichuan" Higher Education Exhibition, organized by the Sichuan Provincial Education Department with eight universities participating.

The delegation visited the University of Colombo, the Confucius Institute at the University of Colombo, Universiti Malaya, and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, discussing talent cultivation, faculty-student exchanges, joint research, and international Chinese language education. At Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, the two sides renewed their inter-university MOU on cooperation.

The delegation also visited the Chinese Embassies in Sri Lanka and Malaysia, the China Cultural Center in Sri Lanka, and the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, proposing cooperation in international student training, faculty exchange, and digital education.

The university will use this visit to deepen practical cooperation with institutions in both countries, expand overseas student recruitment, and enhance its internationalization.
